Douglas Ruml, CFM, MA

Douglas works for Assurex Global, the largest organization of privately held large brokerages and agencies in the world. He is currently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Assurex Agency, Inc., providing agents' Error & Omissions insurance and risk management services . He currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Graduate Schools of Business at Franklin University and Ohio Dominican University. He teaches finance, marketing and international business.

Douglas completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio State and Ambassador Universities. His Masters degree was attained at the California State University. Douglas began his insurance career as a Reinsurance Broker. He has worked at Merrill Lynch, Aon, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan, and the Benfield Group. He was a principal at TaurusElearning, a British insurance software firm, which produced reinsurance rating modules and the most used reinsurance education software in the world. He was most recently an equity partner at Quadrant Insurance Managers, growing their professional liability book of business over 300% in 3 years and also managed their loss control program.

Douglas completed the Certified Financial Manager program at the Donald Regan School at Princeton, as well as achieving securities licenses in General Securities and Options (Series 7), Managed Futures and Commodities (Series 31), State Agent (Series 63), and Federal Investment Advisor (Series 65). He is a registered Property, Casualty, Life, Accident & Health, Surplus Lines, Variable Life, and Variable Annuity agent.
