Curt Anderson, CPA, MBA

President, Assurex Agency, Inc.; Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Assurex Global

Curt served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a signals intelligence specialist and served as an Arabic-language interrogator/translator during the Iran/Iraq war.

Upon his discharge from the Marine Corps, Curt attended The Ohio State University, from which he received his BSBA in accounting and his MBA.

Starting in 1992, Curt worked as an audit manager in the financial services practice of KPMG. He later joined Automobile Club Insurance Company (one of his clients) as their Chief Financial Officer.

In 1999 Curt took the opportunity to join a newly-formed management team and build an insurance company from the ground up. GreatLand Insurance Company was started in 1999 with 6 employees and zero revenue. Over the next four years, the management team of GreatLand grew the company to over $70 million in premium and over 50 employees. The company was sold in late 2003.

As Chief Financial Officer from early 2004 until early 2005, Curt shepherded Evergreen National Insurance Company and Continental Heritage Insurance Company through a spin off from their parent company in anticipation of the parent company issuing an IPO.

Upon completion of this project Curt joined Assurex Global. Curt has held the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Assurex Global since February of 2005.
